the birds are driving me nuts right now (eating my berries and pooing all over) but this little guy makes the day brighter!
I'm surprised it let you get this close. We had some house finches set up nest in the tree by our driveway. Never did get to see the babies take first flight, but I'm THINKING I've seen them flying around with the parents. Seems they're still using the nest - do they reuse it and have a second hatching?
I haven't seen anymore babies. Thrashers live in bushes and nest there.. I think the latest lawnmowing job scared them off.
