OMG those look goooooooooooood!

I have to admit I can see a pic like that on the web and within a week have an entire meal to cook influenced by it. I feel oven fried chicken, mashed taters and gravy coming on!

LOL, bring it on.. We love biscuits.. See now why bisquick is outlawed here?? It took me a long time to perfect these babies.

I might be convinced to part with a little bit of preserves for some biscuits, especially if you made them with lard. Yum!

Good old lard.. The main ingredient for all Southern Food

I've never used/bought lard, but I was honestly thinking of picking some up just yesterday when reading a recipe for tortillas (made 'em with Crisco years ago). So is buying a tube/tub of lard at the grocery store an acceptable way to acquire it? Or should I visit a farm? LOL

it is an acceptable way, but it can go rancid very fast.. Be sure to get only what you will need..

I keep my lard in the freezer.
